Omega college of pharmacy, hyderabad conducted one-day mega health check-up camp

New Delhi, September 01, 2018: Omega College of Pharmacy (OCP)-Hyderabad in association with Lions Club of Kapra (LCK)-AS Rao Nagar conducted a one-day mega health check-up camp on 18th Aug-2018 at Cherlapally association hall, Phase-III, Hyderabad. The camp was organized by Mr. KN Reddy (Trust chairman, LCK), Mr. Chunku Srinivas (Bose region chairperson, LCK), Mr. K Srinivas Reddy (Zone chairperson, LCK), Dr. K Sathya Prakash Reddy (President, LCK), Mr. C Chandan Raju (Secretary, LCK), Mr. K Brahma Chary (Treasurer, LCK), Mrs. Y Durga Kumari (Member, LCK), Mr. Samuel Selvam (Member, LCK), Mrs. Janaki Paturi (Member, LCK). Mr. M Suresh Kumar (Camp co-ordinator & PRO), Mr. Varaprasad (Trust Secretary, LCK), Mrs. Lakshmi Murthy (Zone chairperson, LCK & The academic director, OCP) and Dr. Aukunuru Venkata Jithan (The principal, OCP). Mr. Krishna Murthy (1st Vice District Governor) was the Chief-Guest and inaugurated the medical camp. The doctors, nurses, and technicians from various hospitals (Tulsi Multi-Speciality Hospital, Solis Multi Speciality Hospital & Laxmi Shine N Smile Dental Hospital) have run the health check-up camp successfully. The students and faculty members (Dr. Ramesh M and Mrs. Vijaya) of Omega College Pharmacy were also motivated to participate in the health check-up camp. The students of Pharm. D. course actively participated and they assisted the doctors in the diagnosis of diseases. The students also helped the pharmacist in the dispensing of the medicines. More than two-hundred patients attended the medical camp to get the treatment for ocular diseases, cardiovascular diseases, central nervous system disorder, etc. The medicines for those diseases were provided to the patients by Lions Club of Kapra. The camp provided an inspiration and impetus to the students of Omega College of Pharmacy to gain a practical exposure. The principal, faculty members and students of Omega College of Pharmacy especially thank Mr. N Mohan Reddy (The chairman, OCP) for providing an opportunity to participate in the health check-up camp.
