Oral Hygiene Day at Ajeenkya D Y Patil University.

New Delhi, July 31, 2018: D.Y.Patil Dental School, Lohegaon, Pune, part of Ajeenkya D.Y.Patil University, is celebrating “Oral Hygiene Day”on 1^st August, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Doyen of Indian Periodontics, Late Dr.G.B.Shankwalkar.

With the increase in the number of dental problems among people around, oral hygiene has been gaining enormous importance. Many of us are eager to understand the fundamentals involved in oral hygiene and preventive care which in turn can help us in keeping the painful and expensive dental problems at bay for long.

Oral Hygiene Awareness Campaign is planned at 3 places namely, Lohegaon bus stand – 10am, Jakatnaka – 10.30am,  Aeropolis Apartments (Porwal road) – 11am. Oral Hygiene Awareness Skit will be performed by Students at all three places.  Guest lecture has also been scheduled on “Modern day approaches in Oral Hygiene “sponsored by Oral B in collaboration with Indian Society of Periodontology.

Poster Competition for 3^rd and 4^th year BDS students and other highlights include drawing competition for D Y Patil International School children to create awareness about Oral Hygiene.  Free treatment & checkup camp for support staff of  D Y Patil Knowledge City is also part of this exclusive event.
