Patanjali Yogpeeth Welcomes the UN’S Decision

New Delhi, Dec 13,  2014: The long dream of Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna converted into the reality when UN General Assembly declares June 21 as ‘International Day of Yoga’.

Yoga is the identity of India’s healthy culture and Patanjali’s approach in making the world disease free. After 19 years of consistent and rigorous efforts of Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna the world recognised the power of Yoga and Ayurveda.

History created on December 10, 2014 when The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as ‘International Day of Yoga’. Three months back the revolutionary Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji had proposed this idea to the United Nations. In fact in the 69 years of UN history it happened first time that has proposed something and the UN implemented it in less than 90 days. Out of 193 nations 175 consented to co-sponsor this and it is something very prideful for India and people like Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna who the stalwarts of Ayurveda and Yoga revolution in the world.

I am cherished and welcome this from the deep of my heart. Countless people across the world made Yoga an integral part of their lives. I personally greet all of them and expect that this initiative will inspire many more people towards Yoga.”

“It is a great news not alone for me or for Patanjali, but the whole nation celebrates the decision of UN General Assembly for giving due recognition to Yoga which is branch of Ayurveda the only pathy in the world that is free from all types of side-effects. Yoga provides holistic health and peace to mind and soul”, said, Swami Ramdev, Founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth.

Acharya Balkrishna the Co-Founder of the Patanjali Yogpeeth and the imminent botanist also expressed his feelings in these words, “Under the inspirational leadership of Swami Ramdev, Patanjali Yogpeeth contributed a mammoth for the development and promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda. Millions of people benefited a lot from the Yoga mission started under the aegis of Patanjali Yogpeeth. Eventually the whole world recognised the importance of Yoga for a healthy living and the formation of a disease free society. The decision taken by UN General Assembly is really worth noticing and admirable.”
