New Delhi, September 10, 2014 – Ms. Renu Solanki, Assistant Professor, Department of Quality Assurance, Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology, Pharmacy Wing, Jodhpur (Raj.) has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the faculty of Pharmacy in August 2014 by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for her research work entitled “Phytochemical Investigation, Pharmacological Evaluation and Development of Herbal Formulation of Cynodon dactylon (Linn.) Pers.”. under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. B. P. Nagori, Director, Pharmacy Wing, Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology, Jodhpur (Rajasthan).
Dr. Solanki along with Prof. Dr. B. P. Nagori has filed 4 patents on her research work and out of which a design patent has been granted to her by Indian Patents, Designs and Trade Marks Office. Recently one research project entitled as “Design of Topical Herbal Formulation for Leprosy” funded by University Grant Commission (Bhopal) has also been granted to her.
Dr. Solanki has seven years of teaching experience and has co-guided eleven M. Pharm. students. She has also assisted Prof. Dr. B.P. Nagori in research project funded by DRDO and provided consultancy services to many industries like Aloe naturals Pvt. Ltd, Johari Digital Pvt. Ltd. Jodhpur etc.
Dr. Solanki has to her credit many research/ review papers in reputed referred index National and International pharmacy journals and has attended many national and international conferences, seminars and workshops and presented many articles.
Dr. Renu Solanki has received Gold medals and Bhamashah Award for securing first rank (University topper) in both B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy exams. She was the Rajasthan State Level Winner of the National Elocution Competition, 2003, organized by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA).
