Reals Dil Se Dua Spreads Healthy Happiness Among Underprivileged Kids In Delhi

  • 4,800 litres of fruit beverages donated to 2,000 kids

New Delhi, December 17, 2012 : Dabur India Limited, India’s leading natural healthcare company, has partnered with Delhi Food Banking Network to spread Health & Happiness among thousands of underprivileged children this festive season. Dabur today presented 4,800 litres of Réal fruit beverages to the Delhi Food Banking Network for distribution among underprivileged children in the city in order to meet their nutritional needs. This is part of Réal’s ‘Dil Se Dua’ campaign that was launched around Diwali this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Abhinav John Bara, Brand Head – Réal, Dabur India Ltd., said“Réal comes with the commitment of providing its consumers healthy happiness by offering a nutritious yet tasty choice of consumption. Keeping in tune with this core brand philosophy, we initiated the Réal ‘Dil Se Dua’ campaign during Diwali this year, wherein we went around Delhi seeking support for undernourished children. We encouraged people to sign on a pledge to support the kids and against each signature we committed to give one pack of Réal fruit beverage to a needy kid. Altogether, we have collected 24,000 such goodwill signatures from people of Delhi in just 3 days. Against the signatures collected, we have donated 24,000 packs of Réal fruit beverages, amounting to a total of 4,800 litres to Delhi Food Banking Network, who in turn would distribute these to around 2,000 underprivileged children in the city.”

A team of representatives from Dabur comprising of by Mr Bara and Mr Sunil Sharma – Head of Consumer Activations, Dabur India Ltd. and representatives of Delhi Food Banking Network Ms Angela Nar VP Programs, Ms Ramona Bakshi AVP Partnerships and Ms Shikha, Program Coordinator visited a Delhi Food Banking Network feeding centre in Kishangarh village to flag off the distribution exercise.

The 24,000 juice packs are being distributed to institutional Feeding Partners of Delhi FoodBank and would cater to the nutritional need of around 2,000 undernourished children over a period of about 3 months. Delhi FoodBank is a member of The India FoodBanking Network, a not-for-profit entity managed and operated by the Aidmatrix India Foundation.

Commenting on the association with Réal, Mr Kuldip Nar, Managing Director, Aidmatrix Foundation, India, leading the operations of Delhi Food Banking Network said, “This unique initiative of Dabur India Limited has set a precedent on how innovative and creative support can be generated with the engagement of customers and employees to help those that need it the most”.
