New Delhi, September 24, 2015: The revamped website of the Department of Pharmaceuticals was launched by the Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in New Delhi today. The revamped website is compliant with the guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. The website has user-centric content, responsive pages, Cloud Environment and is bilingual in Hindi and English.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ahir said that transparency is a vital component of good democracy and the Digital initiative undertaken by the Government under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will benefit the people in this regard. He said that the revamped website is a good effort to provide information to the people and the Pharmaceutical industry through a single window. Shri Ahir said that the website will help in obtaining feedback from the people which will help the Department in taking corrective steps, if required. He said that the Government is committed to make available medicines at affordable rates and adoption of technology will facilitate the process.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Dr. V.K. Subburaj said that it would be the earnest effort of the Department to provide up-dated information on the website. It will provide a holistic view to the common man of the functioning of the Department whose activities are significant and increasing.
