Revolutionizing technology that facilitates better outcomes for the patients in the field of biomechanics

~Kan Innovation – The powerful father-son duo’s profound grasp of science~

New Delhi, November 10, 2022: With India’s population plagued with problems like back pain, knee pain, diabetes and neurological conditions, Riday Nakhate and Pradeep Nakhate, the co-founders of Kan Innovations Pvt. Ltd., introduce a comprehensive solution that assesses balance, posture and human biomechanics and aids in the rehabilitation.

Kan Innovations has designed and developed a research backed series of plantar pressure systems, ‘OHM’, that can be used by clinicians from various fields such as Orthopaedics, Physiotherapy, Diabetology, and Prosthetics & Orthotics. It identifies root cause of problems, determines fall risk in elderly and neurological patients, predicts and prevents orthopedic injuries and diabetic foot ulcers, and helps in rehabilitation. Kan Innovations with its cutting-edge technology is transforming healthcare by providing better results to patients and restoring their quality of life.

Foot is the foundation of the body. Alignment issues and problems of the feet can result in severe issues like ankle, knee, hip and back issues and also vice versa. Plantar pressure analysis measures the pressure fields acting between the foot and the ground helping in identifying the root cause of problems, allowing clinicians to develop better and more accurate treatment protocols. The OHM series Plantar Pressure Systems, manufactured by Kan Innovations in India, is paving the way for monumental changes in the medical and para-medical industry. The team at Kan Innovations has also designed and developed products like ReGo, a revolutionary gaming-based module for patients’ personalised rehabilitation programs, and TRED, an indigenous brand of specialist insoles for every foot problem.

The powerful father-son duo’s profound grasp of science, technology, human capital, organizational growth, and finance has not only made it possible for patients to get access to such technology in tier 1 cities, but also in tier 2 and tier 3 cities where medical infrastructure is limited. The duo now has their eyes set on taking their indigenous product line to international markets.

Riday Nakhate, Founder and CEO, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from Northeastern University, USA. He is a visionary, who is keenly driven towards technology and innovation. While he was in the USA, he suffered from a L4-L5 disc desiccation, a right knee meniscal tear and a left knee dislocation. His L4-L5 disc desiccation went misdiagnosed for 2 years, due to which he spent a lot of time on bed rest, which took away his freedom of mobility. The seeds of Kan first germinated then and from that point on, he strove to discover a solution so that others would not have to endure the same suffering. He developed this “Made in India” PPS, which is the result of extensive study and market surveys to meet the needs of Indian medical practitioners. He carried out his aim to reach greater heights. He effectively uses his business acumen at Kan Innovations, where he manages innovation, finance, and marketing and is keenly driven towards delivering excellent user experience for both practitioner and patient.

At the heart of the venture is Pradeep Nakhate, Chief Mentor and Co-Founder, of Kan Innovations. Pradeep brings a wealth of experience, gained over three decades, in medical technologies, software technology development, management, and entrepreneurship in the area of Health & Human Care and Software Solutions. His area of expertise is in developing new products, finding solutions, and helping businesses grow. Before starting Kan Innovations, Pradeep headed line of business operations in India, for well-known organisations such as Pfizer and Kodak.  He is a serial entrepreneur. In Pune, he also pioneered the country’s first on-demand home health care program for the elderly. He is also the founder CEO of Radar Marketing and Health Seva, dedicated to bringing new medical device technologies, software solutions and services to the Indian market. In the recent past, he did exceptional work on EyeNetra, an MIT USA incubated start-up to help build point of care eye care products, software and services. His in-depth knowledge and experience has been helpful in bridging the gap between evolving technologies and consumer demands.

The Founders firmly believe that there is no greater joy than in improving people’s lives. With practitioners able to identify the root causes of the problems, build better treatment plans and increase patient engagement, clinicians are bound to further optimize patient outcomes. Major injuries can be found and prevented, helping patients live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Kan Innovations is focused on giving individuals back their freedom of mobility and restoring their quality of life.
