The healthcare providers to look at new business models for driving operational efficiencies -MR. SRINIVAS PRASAD, CEO OF PHILIPS INNOVATION CAMPUS

Bengaluru, January 13, 2016: In India this year we observed an increase in health awareness, thus encouraging us to revolutionize our offerings. This has driven the healthcare providers to look at new business models for driving operational efficiencies. The role of Digitization of healthcare towards the efforts of decentralization has gained momentum, for example- remote monitoring of ICU across India through IntelliSpace Consultative Critical Care and providing cardiac care through portable Philips Efficia ECG 100. Internet of Things is at the forefront of healthcare and will create massive impact.

In 2016 we foresee more of startups springing up in the Healthcare space in India. We expect that Make in India initiative will gain more momentum in healthcare space. New approaches to reduce hospital stay and improve quality of care at home will emerge. De- centralized screening with centralized clinical decision support will lead to more innovations in tele- health solution space.
