UBM and Restec discontinue Russia partnership

RESTEC to organise a stand-alone IPhEB exhibition in Russia from 2018 onwards

Amsterdam, August 13, 2017: CPhI @ IPhEB Russia – jointly organised by UBM and Restec – which closed its 5th edition on the 30th March 2017, will be discontinued as a CPhI branded event in 2018.

The event, which has grown to 5000 attendees and started in Saint Petersburg in 2011, before moving to the Russian capital in 2015, returns to its original venue and branding next year. Restec will serve its existing customers from 2018 onwards with the stand-alone exhibition in Saint Petersburg – the International Forum on Pharmaceuticals Engineering and Biotechnology (IPhEB).

UBM will concentrate on strengthening its global pharma portfolio growth, with a focus on better serving customer needs. The company is expanding sales in eight other CPhI brands globally, including a new event in the Middle East & Africa for 2018 (taking place in Abu Dhabi) and three editions with more than 40,000 attendees each year (CPhI Worldwide, CPhI India and CPhI China).

Restec will further build the profile of its long-standing IPhEB brand as the premier event for Russia and the CIS economies. The IPhEB will take place in Saint-Petersburg in 2018 and in Moscow in 2019.
