Bangalore, August 08, 2015: UL (Underwriters Laboratories), a global safety science organization,announced it has received International Organization for Standardization accreditation(ISO 17025)by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for its toy testing facility in Gurgaon. This state-of-the-art UL laboratory there specializes in toy safety testing and certifying products intended for children, helping manufacturers identify and correct potential hazards throughout the production process.
The laboratory consists of specialized equipment which provides a world-class testing facility able to meet global standards. UL’s customizable quality and safety assessment provides services such as mechanical and physical testing, flammability testing, chemical analysis, label evaluation servicesand restricted substance testing. These tests are performed using recognized methods to test toys for compliance with brand specifications, as well as regulations and standards required by global markets, including International (ISO 8124),European (EN 71),Canadian (SOR-2011) and American(ASTM F963, CPSIA, REACH) standards.UL is registered with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission as an approved laboratory for Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act third-party testing requirements
