New Delhi, March 30, 2016: Curofy, India’s largest community of verified doctors, is all set to revamp discussions happening on the platform, which will help to set up a knowledge repository for the medical community. Doctors can now index cases and seek help from relevant specialties of the community. They can also acknowledge the help of other doctors as well as accept an answer to close a discussion. The platform now has a huge potential of becoming a credible repository of peer knowledge for the doctors similar to what Stack Overflow did for software engineers. With our country lagging far behind in the requisite doctor count, technology can make a huge difference. And with CUROFY 2.0 doctors can build a camaraderie among themselves which creates an environment of trust among doctors and patients alike.

Curofy’s vision is to build an ecosystem where a patient when consulting a doctor will be consulting a group of doctors instead of a single doctor. In just one year of its inception, Curofy has been able to connect 45,000 doctors in the country spread across 300 cities. What is even more interesting is their community comprises of tier 3 cities, towns and even in rural areas.

“Most of our active users are from these tier-3 towns and rural areas. They are very active on our discussion platform where they help each other out in cases.” Says NIPUN GOYAL, CO-FOUNDER OF CUROFY. This is a further validation of platforms like Curofy in bringing the holistic approach to the healthcare system today. “Doctors are the focal point of the healthcare system in the country. Hence building an engaged community of doctors mobilises the entire industry and in turn helps in the enhancing the industry as a whole.”

Curofy is an exclusive networking app for doctors which helps them stay up-to-date in their practice and collaborate on difficult patient cases. In 11 months since its launch, over 50,000 verified doctors from 150 cities have registered on the app. Doctors use Curofy to read latest medical news, discuss difficult cases, apply for premium jobs and highlight their achievement.
