Punjab, September 28, 2015: Dr. Upendra Nagaich, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Noida India has been conferred with “Young Research Pharmacist Award” on the eve of “World Pharmacist Day” at Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Banur India on September 25, 2015 in recognition to his outstanding research work in the field of pharmaceutical research.
Dr. Nagaich has been conferred with several awards and honours, a few of them include: Award of Excellence in Pharmacy given by Society for Rural Development & Empowerment, New Delhi, Young Pharmacy Teacher Award given for his active contribution in the field of pharmaceutical education, Young Performer Award given for the outstanding work in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Distinguished Alumni Award by Acharya Alumni Association of Pharmacy, Bangalore. He is approved supervisor for doctoral research. Dr. Nagaich guided 25 thesis of M.Pharm. and presently guiding 05 thesis of Ph.D & 04 thesis for M.Pharm.
Dr. Nagaich has filed 04 patents, published more than 50 high quality papers in international and national journals of repute, invited as speaker in various conferences, presented papers at various national and international conferences and seminars and is an author of 02 books published from Germany. His biography has been included in the renowned directory “Who’s Who in the World 2011 and published in the 29th Edition, November 2011.
In addition to academic and research responsibilities, Dr. Nagaich is also serving as Secretary, Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research and working with the capacity of Editor, Journal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research (An PubMed and SCOPUS indexed international research journal published by Medknow Publications, A product of Wolters Kluwer Health, Philadelphia, USA).
He was the member of under graduate board of studies in pharmaceutical sciences, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (Haryana). He is also Executive Council (E.C.) member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), (Gwalior Branch). Dr. Nagaich was Mentor of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA)-Student Forum 2010-11 for Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh State.
He is on the editorial board of many international and national research journals. He is a Fellow member of SPER and life member of APTI, IPA and IPGA.
