Bangalore, November 18, 2016: The Canadian International School hosted a charity run to raise money for Cancer Research in association with the Terry Fox Foundation today with the run commencing and finishing at the Canadian International School premises. The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. The run was flagged off by the Consulate General of Canada, Jennifer Daubeny, and involved a5K run around the campus with over 800 students and 100 members of the public joining the run.

The charity run was open to students, teachers from schools and all Bangaloreans and aims to raise money for the cancer research. Participants walked, jogged and ran at their own pace. The entire proceeds will be sent to the Terry Fox Foundation.
