Joint Certification Programme to increase fire safety awareness at hospitals MoU signed by Chola MS Risk Services and CAHO

Kolkata/Chennai, April 20, 2018: Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Limited and the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) signed a memorandum of understanding to provide a state of the art certification programme on Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness to healthcare organizations in India. The programme is expected to reach around 40,000 hospitals in India in the next eighteen months

With this programme, we will address much of the gaps in knowledge and systems that hospitals face today in the areas of fire prevention, protection and preparedness.  Critical concepts will be taught through use of simulations and innovative use of Virtual Reality Technology. Participants, (including doctors, nurses and support staff) successfully completing these programmes will be issued a joint certificate from both organizations.

Speaking about the MoU, Dr.Vijay Aggarwal, President CAHO, said “Our mission has always been to continuously improve the quality and safety of healthcare services across India especially by bringing affordable solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and industry leaders.  Therefore we believe that this alliance with Chola MS Risk Services will further consolidate our safety offerings to hospitals”
