Mumbai, June 10, 2022: An 18-year-old boy died while dancing to the beat of a DJ at a wedding in Ujjain last month, after a postmortem report revealed a blood clot in his heart.  Doctors said the DJ’s loud noise caused a heart attack.  Recently, a famous singer was admitted to the hospital with sudden chest pain while performing at a concert, but he died tragically.  Over the last 10 years, the number of deaths due to heart attack caused by loud noise has been increasing across India. The cardiologist said that the staff working at the airport, workers in the live stage show as well as the artists, the staff working in the industrial estate, and traffic police need to take special care of their hearts. Giving more information about this, Dr. Bijoy Kutty- Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon and Director of  Platinum Hospital- Mulund  says, “A team of doctors has proven that loud heart disease and stroke occur in the United States. They studied 499 people and 40 of them suffered from heart disease because their place of residence was in a loud area, so in western countries airports, factories and loud factories are far away from residential areas and 90% of the firecrackers used there are for lighting purposes only but in India the situation is different and 90% of the firecrackers are noise making. More than 90 decibels of noise are harmful not only to the ears but also to our health.  It can also cause air bubbles in the lungs and cause a heart attack. Loud Noise increases in stress hormones, which can harm arteries in the heart and the rest of the body too.

Analyzing the Heart diseases and corona, Dr. Hemant Khemani, senior cardiologist from Apex Group of Hospitals in Borivali, says, “Corona and heart disease are closely linked. In the second wave of corona, 50 per cent of the total patients infected were found to have a heart attack.  Enters directly into the heart muscle. If the person is constantly exposed to loud noises in which the heart muscle is injured, there is a risk of adverse effects on the heart as the weakened heart cannot pump properly. Living in a noisy environment can be annoying, but it might also harm your health. People experiencing high levels of noise from cars, trains or planes were more likely to suffer a heart attack than people living in quieter areas, according to a study presented at the American College of Cardiology’s 71st Annual Scientific Session.”
