Seagull was incorporated in 1981 as Seagull Labs (I) Pvt. Ltd. by Mr. D. .Dogrra ,a pharmaceutical marketing professional with successful track record in multi national corporations. Seagull Labs was incorporated to undertake manufacturing and marketing of Pharmaceutical Formulations. Today Seagull Labs has carved out a niche in the pharmaceutical market & is counted amongst the best in terms of quality & conceptual products .
From the very onset brands marketed by Seagull Labs like Capex Expectorant started enjoying major market shares so much so that well established players were forced to take notice and put in focused efforts to retain market share in the same segment.
Since then the company’s synergistic approach has resulted in remarkable success in manufacturing and marketing of a wide range of products in various therapeutic segment comprising analgesic, anti-inflammatory drugs, nutritional products, products for respiratory segment and antibiotics.
In 1985 company felt the need of expanding the product base due to increased market response . To meet the increased demands it was decided to outsource manufacturing of products on an even greater scale from outside though with strict focus on quality control aspects. Very soon more brands made their mark in the market place viz. Bludec SP, Meconergy etc.
In 1989, Seagull started its Ayurvedic unit in Gurgaon and commenced manufacturing with the development of three products Zerub (rubefacient), Utrowel (Uterine tonic) , Figolax range ( Laxatives ).
In last one and half year company has already revamped its product portfolio and has introduced more than 15 products with an eye on future keeping in view Patent regime and has strong product portfolio to serve the needs for next 10 years.
The company’s strength lies in identifying products/markets,which are conceptually very strong and therefore less prone to competition An aggressive field force actively marketing Seagull’s products all over India. Keeping in view the wide acceptability of our products, the company has ample room for growth .
,Seagull Labs has set up one Ayurvedic unit in Gurgaon and one Allopathic unit in Mehatpur , Himachal Pradesh Besides Seagull labs is getting some products range manufactured from third party which have the best of the manufacturing facility available in the country.
