Sir Dr. Huz awarded Honoris Causa by DeshBhagat University.

New Delhi, February 23, 2019: Sir Dr. Huz (HuzaifaKhorakiwala), CEO and Trustee, Wockhardt Foundation, & Founder, The World Peacekeepers Movement (TWPM) was awarded HonorisCausa, at DeshBhagat University, MandiGobindgarh by University’s Hon’ble Chancellor and Chief Guests, Shri H R Shah and ShriPawan Kumar Chamling (Chief Minister of Sikkim). Sir Dr. Huz received his 13th Honorary Doctorate by the hands of ShriPawan Kumar Chamling, Chief Minister of Sikkim

The 6th Annual Convocation of DeshBhagat University was graced by Padmashree Awardee Shri H R Shah, Chief Minister of Sikkim, ShriPawan Kumar, who himself received the honor,  along with members of the University including the Hon’ble Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and Vice President. Bharat RatnaShriPranab Mukherjee was among the awardees of the honor by the University.

Delighted about receiving his 13th Honorary Doctorate Sir Dr. Huz said, “I am really grateful to DeshBhagat University for bestowing upon me the HonorisCausa. I am honored to be a part of this convocation and would like to wish all the students the very best for their futures.”

Sir Dr. Huz has been awarded several times for his outstanding contribution towards the society in the fields of education, health and environment with multiple honors in the past. These include Ecumenical Medical-Humanitarian Order Knights of St. John of Jerusalem (Knighthood), Peace Leader of the year 2016 at Indian Affairs Business Leadership Awards, CSR Leadership award at the Global CSR Excellence and Leadership, etc. among many other similar awards.

Wockhardt Foundation, under the leadership of Sir Dr. Huz, has been instrumental in bringing about a positive change in the lives of the underprivileged through various initiatives like E-Learning, KhelKhel Mein, Little Hearts, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio-Toilet, Wockhardt Skills Development Institute, SHUDHU water purification tablets and Adarsh Gram Yojana, Mobile 1000.
